• Sportsman: The Sportsman 500 debuted in 1996 and was one of the first ATVs with a powerful four-stroke engine. Other models included the Sportsman 400 4×4 (1996–1997).
• Magnum: The Magnum 425 was offered in 2×4, 4×4, and heavy-duty 6×6 versions, all with a four-stroke engine.
• Big Boss: This was a 6×6 utility vehicle, available with the 400cc two-stroke engine in 1996 and the 500cc four-stroke engine by 1998.
• Xplorer

  : A four-wheel-drive utility ATV, available in 300cc and 400cc versions, with the 400cc model featuring a liquid-cooled two-stroke engine. 

• Scrambler: A high-performance sport ATV offered in both 2×4 and 4×4 versions. Available in 400cc two-stroke and, by 1998, 500cc four-stroke options.
• Sport 400

  : A two-wheel-drive sport quad powered by a 400cc liquid-cooled, two-stroke engine.

• Trail Blazer: A sporty 2×4 ATV, powered by a 244cc two-stroke engine.

• Performance: The Indy XCR was a high-performance sled, available with twin-cylinder engines ranging from 440cc to 700cc. The 1997 Indy 700 RMK and Indy 700 XC introduced Polaris’s new 700cc twin-cylinder “Liberty” engine.
• Utility/Touring: Models like the Indy WideTrak and various Indy Touring versions offered comfort and capability for riders who prioritized utility or two-up riding.
• Mountain: The Indy RMK (Rocky Mountain King) was specifically designed for deep-snow riding, with the 1997 and 1998 models introducing 600cc and 700cc twin-cylinder engines. 

• Engine size: PWC models came in several engine sizes, including 700cc, 780cc, 900cc, and the powerful 1050cc.
