- 105 Jet: A two-stroke, V6 engine with a 2.0L (121.9 cubic inch) displacement.
- 140 Jet: A two-stroke, V6 engine with a 2.5L (153 cubic inch) displacement. Some models were carbureted, while others featured Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI).
- 135 hp: Often a 2.0L (121.9 cubic inch), 60-degree V6 with loop charging and oil injection. Later versions featured EFI.
- 150 hp: Mercury and Mariner have produced various 150 hp V6 two-strokes.
- 2.5L DFI (Optimax): Later models used Direct Fuel Injection for improved fuel efficiency and performance.
- 2.0L Carbureted: Early models used carburetors.
 
- 175 hp: A 2.5L (153 cubic inch), 60-degree V6 with CDI and computer control for ignition timing. Later EFI models also featured loop charging and oil injection.
- 200 hp: Early models were carbureted, followed by EFI and Optimax (DFI) versions.
- EFI (2.5L): Featured a 2.5L (153 cubic inch), 60-degree V6 with a 60-amp alternator.
- Optimax (3.0L): Later Optimax versions used a 3.0L V6 powerhead with Direct Fuel Injection.
 
- 225 hp: Early models featured EFI, while later models used Optimax (DFI).
- EFI (3.0L): Had a 3.0L (185 cubic inch), 60-degree V6 with EFI and oil injection.
- Optimax (3.0L): Featured a 3.0L V6 with Direct Fuel Injection.
 
- 250 hp: Early EFI models were available, followed by Optimax (DFI) versions.
- EFI (3.0L): A 3.0L (185 cubic inch) V6 with EFI.
