They are designed as a cleaner-burning, more fuel-efficient option for commercial outdoor power equipment like zero-turn mowers. These engines are built to meet the durability standards of the Kohler Command PRO line.

Common problems

While the EFI system improves reliability, some issues can still occur:

Fuel pump failure: The most common issue is low or no fuel pressure, which can cause poor performance or prevent the engine from starting. Contaminated fuel can also cause premature pump wear.
Injector and sensor faults: As with any EFI system, injectors or sensors (such as the oxygen sensor) can fail. A faulty oxygen sensor can cause the engine to search for the correct air-to-gas ratio.
