From 2007 to 2010, you can find the second-generation MINI Cooper R56 Hardtop and the first year of the redesigned second-generation R57 Convertible. These models were available in both the standard Cooper trim and the higher-performance Cooper S trim.
Second-generation hardtop (R56)
The R56 hardtop was produced from 2007 through 2013, with the years you requested covering the early phase of its production.
- Engine: For the base Cooper, MINI switched from a supercharged engine to a more fuel-efficient naturally aspirated one. The Cooper S received a new turbocharged engine, which boosted performance.
