• Engine: Every 2021 Telluride is equipped with a 3.8L V6 engine that produces 291 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
• Performance: All trims come standard with front-wheel drive, with all-wheel drive available as an option. The Telluride has a towing capacity of up to 5,000 pounds when properly equipped.
• Seating: Seating for up to eight passengers is standard on the LX and EX trims, with seven-passenger seating (including second-row captain’s chairs) standard on the S and SX trims.
• Fuel economy: EPA estimates for the front-wheel-drive model are 20 mpg city and 26 mpg highway, while the all-wheel-drive version gets 19 mpg city and 24 mpg highway.
• Safety: The Telluride comes with a comprehensive suite of standard safety features, including Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Blind-Spot View Monitor (on SX), Lane Following Assist, and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist. 

• LX: The well-equipped base model includes keyless entry, simulated leather upholstery, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.
• S: Adds 20-inch wheels, a sunroof, heated front seats, and second-row captain’s chairs.
• EX: Adds leather seating, ventilated front seats, a Smart Power Liftgate, and a heated steering wheel.
• SX: The top-tier trim includes dual sunroofs, a Harman Kardon 10-speaker audio system, and a Surround View Monitor. 

• Recalls: As of October 2024, the NHTSA has issued recalls for certain 2020-2024 Telluride vehicles. This includes potential issues with the tow hitch harness causing a fire risk, a faulty power seat motor, and an instrument cluster display that may remain blank.
• Engine noise: Some owners have reported an unpleasant, growling noise from the engine when cruising at steady highway speeds.
• Inconsistent city fuel economy: Owners report that city fuel economy is often lower than the EPA estimate, while highway fuel economy meets or exceeds estimates.
• Instrument cluster problems: A number of owners have complained to the NHTSA about electrical issues causing the instrument cluster display to fail.
