- Engine: The 2020 Telluride is equipped with a 3.8-liter V6 engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, delivering 291 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque.
- Towing capacity: It has a towing capacity of up to 5,000 pounds when properly equipped.
- Seating and cargo: Seating is available for up to eight passengers. With all seats folded, the Telluride offers a maximum cargo capacity of 87 cubic feet.
- Standard technology: Every trim includes a generous set of standard tech features, such as an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

: The top-tier trim offers dual sunroofs, a 10-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, a surround-view camera, and exclusive cosmetic upgrades. An optional Prestige package added premium Nappa leather and other luxury amenities.
- Fire risks: Multiple “park outside” recalls were issued for Tellurides from model years including 2020 due to fire risks.
- Tow hitch harness (2022 recall): A tow hitch harness module could short-circuit and cause a fire. Owners with this harness were advised to park outside until repaired.
- Power seat motor (2024 recall): A front power seat motor could overheat if a slide knob got stuck, posing a fire risk while parked or driving. Owners were advised to park outside until fixed.
- Rollaway risk (2024 recall): Some Tellurides were recalled because an improper assembly of the intermediate shaft and right front driveshaft could cause the vehicle to roll away while in Park.
- Headlight failure (2024 recall): A recall was issued for high beam headlights that could fail, reducing visibility.
- Engine oil consumption: Some owners have reported issues with the engine consuming oil at an unusually high rate, requiring costly repairs.
- Cracked windshields: A class-action lawsuit was filed over claims that 2020 Telluride windshields are prone to cracking or chipping.
- Low-end torque: The naturally aspirated V6 engine sometimes feels underpowered at lower RPMs and hunts for gears when driving up steep inclines, according to some long-term reviews.
