- Engine: The Denali’s sole engine was a 6.2-liter aluminum-block Vortec V8 with variable valve timing, producing 403 horsepower at 5,700 rpm and 417 lb-ft of torque at 4,300 rpm. This engine was also E85-compatible.
- Transmission: A heavy-duty 6-speed automatic transmission with a “Driver Shift Control” manual shifting mode was standard.
- Drivetrain: A full-time AWD system was standard, while a 2WD option was available.
- Towing and payload:
- Maximum towing capacity: Up to 9,300 lbs for the AWD model and 8,600 lbs for the RWD model.
- Payload capacity: Up to 1,592 lbs (AWD) and 1,619 lbs (RWD).
- Fuel economy: EPA-estimated fuel economy was 12 mpg city and 19 mpg highway for the AWD model and 13 mpg city and 19 mpg highway for the RWD model.
- Comfort: Standard features included heated and cooled leather-appointed front seats with 12-way power adjustments and memory settings, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, and dual-zone climate control.
- Technology: The Denali came with a Bose premium audio system, Bluetooth hands-free connectivity, and a USB port. An optional navigation system and a rear-seat DVD entertainment system were also available.
- Convenience: Other standard features included remote start, power-adjustable pedals, rear parking sensors, and a universal garage door opener.
- Styling: A signature chrome grille, body-color bumpers, chrome body-side moldings, and chrome trim were standard.
- Wheels: It came standard with 18-inch polished aluminum wheels, with 20-inch wheels available as an option.
- Features: Standard features included fog lights and an EZ-lift tailgate.
- Active Fuel Management (AFM): The 6.2L V8 engine could be prone to excessive oil consumption due to the AFM system, which can also lead to collapsed engine lifters.
- Electrical system: Some owners reported various electrical issues, including flickering dash lights, faulty sensors for the 4WD system and HVAC, and speaker problems.
- Interior quality: While considered luxurious for its time, some interior plastics could be prone to cracking or rattling over time, particularly on the dashboard.
- Safety recalls: Some 2010 Sierra models were part of recalls related to Takata airbag inflators.
