- Standard Safety: The Sierra HD Pro Safety suite includes Forward Collision Alert, Automatic Emergency Braking, and Lane Departure Warning.
- Tailgate Recall: Multiple recalls (NHTSA #24V060000, 24V894000) have been issued for a potential water-intrusion issue in the power-unlatching tailgate, which could cause it to inadvertently unlatch while in park.
- Transmission Recall: Some 2024 models were recalled (GM #N242467600) for a transmission issue caused by an incorrect bearing, which could lead to transmission failure.
- Steering Recall: A recall (NHTSA #23V549000) was issued for a potential fracture in the steering gear shaft, which could lead to a loss of steering control.
