- Uno 55: This early model was equipped with the 1116 cc engine.
- Performance: The 1.1L 55 HP model produced 54 BHP and 63 lb-ft of torque.
- Uno 60: This model, also using the 1.1L engine, had a slightly higher output.
- Performance: A 1.1L 60 HP version delivered 57 bhp. A later 1989 version of the 1.1L produced 58 bhp.
- Uno 70: Some later models with a 1.4L engine carried the “70” badge.
- Uno 70: A 1989 facelift Uno 70 was equipped with a 1.4L fuel-injected engine.
- Performance: It produced 72 bhp.
- Uno Turbo i.e.: A more powerful, turbocharged version of the 1.4L engine was used in the hot hatch variant.
- Performance: A 1989 1.4L Turbo i.e. engine could produce 114 bhp.
- Design: Giorgetto Giugiaro designed the initial cubist body style, which was highly aerodynamic for its class with a drag coefficient of 0.34. The 1989 facelift softened the body lines and gave it smaller headlights.
- Interior: The Uno was praised for its spacious interior and innovative, user-friendly dashboard.
- Production: The Uno was produced in Italy until 1995 but was also manufactured in other countries, including Poland and Brazil, continuing in some markets long after its original Italian production ended.
