- V-Series 20th Anniversary: CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing models featured special badging on the grille, rockers, and an animated digital gauge cluster.
- New colors: New exterior paint options were introduced, including Midnight Sky Metallic for the standard CT5 and special colors like Velocity Red and Cyber Yellow Metallic for the V-Series trims.
- Onyx Package: This appearance package, which includes dark accents and wheels, became available on all trims and added a black spoiler.

2.0L Twin-Scroll Turbo I4
: The standard engine on Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport trims, producing 237 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

3.0L Twin-Turbo V6
: Available on the Premium Luxury trim (335 hp) and standard on the CT5-V (360 hp), both with 405 lb-ft of torque.

6.2L Supercharged V8
: Exclusive to the high-performance CT5-V Blackwing, delivering 668 horsepower and 659 lb-ft of torque. It is available with a standard 6-speed manual or optional 10-speed automatic transmission.
- Drivetrain: Rear-wheel drive is standard, with all-wheel drive available on all but the Blackwing trim.
- Luxury: The base trim came well-equipped with standard safety features, a 10-inch HD touchscreen, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
- Premium Luxury: Added leather seating, ambient lighting, and more optional features, including the V6 engine and Super Cruise.
- Sport: Included more aggressive styling, a sport grille, performance-bolstered seats, and alloy pedals.

: Featured the higher-output 3.0L V6, Magnetic Ride Control, Brembo brakes, and an electronic limited-slip differential.

: The track-focused, top-of-the-line model with the supercharged V8 and high-performance equipment.
- Infotainment: All trims included a 10-inch HD touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
- Super Cruise: Cadillac’s hands-free driver-assistance technology was an available option on most trims, except the base Luxury.
- Interior quality: While generally well-equipped with soft-touch materials, some reviewers noted that the cabin’s overall quality and design did not feel as premium as competitors like the BMW 5 Series.
- Space: The CT5 has decent front-row passenger space but a relatively cramped rear seat and a small 11.9 cubic-foot trunk.
