• 3.6L V6: The most common option is the powerful 3.6-liter V6, which produces 308 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque. It is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and offers quick acceleration for a mid-size truck.
• 2.8L Duramax® Turbo-Diesel: This option provides maximum torque and the best fuel economy, with 181 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. It is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and is the best choice for those prioritizing towing and efficiency.
• 2.5L I4: The standard base engine is a less powerful 2.5-liter four-cylinder, generating 200 horsepower and 191 lb-ft of torque. Many reviewers recommend opting for one of the more potent engines. 

• Max towing: 7,700 pounds when properly equipped with either the V6 or diesel engine.
• Max payload: The maximum payload capacity is 1,605 pounds with the diesel engine. 

• Elevation Standard

  : This base trim comes with a 7-inch touchscreen, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a 6-speaker audio system.

• Elevation

  : Adds more features, including an available 8-inch infotainment system, automatic climate control, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

• AT4

  : The off-road-focused trim features an off-road suspension, 31-inch Goodyear® Wrangler Duratrac® tires, and a locking rear differential.

• Denali

  : The luxury trim includes a unique grille, 20-inch diamond-cut wheels, leather-appointed and ventilated front seats, and a Bose® premium audio system. A Denali Black Edition was also offered for 2022, featuring black exterior accents. 

• Infotainment: A 7-inch or 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is available.
• Comfort: Seating comfort is a mixed bag, with some finding the seats uncomfortable for long trips, especially in the Denali, despite features like heating and ventilation.
• Cabin space: The extended cab models have limited rear legroom, so a crew cab is recommended for those who regularly carry passengers. The interior design is functional but can look dated compared to some rivals. 

• Front passenger seat frame: A recall was issued for some 2022 Canyon models with a manual passenger seat because a weld on the seat frame might have been improperly done, which could affect occupant restraint in a crash. The fix involves inspecting and potentially replacing the seat frame.
• Check your VIN: You can check for any open recalls on a specific vehicle by entering its VIN on the official NHTSA or GM recalls websites. 

• For towing/efficiency: Opt for the diesel engine.
• For power: The V6 offers quick acceleration and strong performance.
• For off-roading: The

   is the best choice for heading off the pavement.

• For comfort/features: The Denali provides the most luxury amenities, though some reviewers felt the interior was not up to par for its price point.
