- 6.7L Power Stroke V8 Turbo Diesel: This engine was available in three power ratings, allowing fleet managers to match the engine’s output to their specific needs.
- Ratings: 270 hp / 675 lb-ft torque, 300 hp / 700 lb-ft torque, and 330 hp / 725 lb-ft torque.
- Capabilities: Standard best-in-class diesel horsepower and torque in the medium-duty segment.
- 6.8L Triton V10 3-valve gasoline engine: As a gasoline alternative, this engine is known for its durability and capability. It can also be converted to run on compressed natural gas (CNG) or propane autogas.
- Ratings: 320 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque.
- TorqShift HD 6-speed automatic transmission: Designed and built by Ford for seamless integration with both engine options. It features a convenient Tow/Haul mode.
- Drivetrain: The 2019 F-650/F-750 is available in both 4×2 and 4×4 configurations, with a wide range of gross vehicle weight ratings (GVWRs) from 20,500 pounds up to 37,000 pounds for chassis cabs and 50,000 pounds for diesel tractors.
- Pro Loader (Kick-up frame): This option offers a lower frame height for easier cargo loading and unloading, ideal for delivery vehicles.
- Straight Frame: Provides a higher, flat frame for maximum flexibility when adding commercial bodies.
- Tractor: Features a heat-treated alloy steel frame designed for heavy-duty towing applications.
- Regular Cab: Two-door version.
- SuperCab: A four-door configuration with rear-hinged doors.
- Crew Cab: Features four full-size doors and seating for up to six passengers.
- 6.7L Power Stroke reliability: While the 6.7L Power Stroke engine is widely regarded as reliable, especially after its 2015 updates, the 2019 model year is still susceptible to potential problems related to the CP4 high-pressure fuel pump.
- CP4 pump failure: A failure of this pump can damage the entire fuel system, requiring a very expensive repair. Using high-quality fuel and replacing filters regularly is recommended.
- 6.8L Triton V10 reliability: The gasoline V10 engine has a known history of exhaust manifold failures and spark plug issues due to improper thread count in the aluminum cylinder heads.
- Ford SYNC: The voice-activated connectivity system was an available option, allowing for hands-free calls, music streaming, and USB device charging.
- Driver-assist features: An optional driver-assist package was available on certain models, including:
- Lane Departure Warning: Provides an audible alert when the vehicle drifts out of its lane.
- Auto High-Beam Headlamps: Automatically switches between high and low beams based on lighting conditions.
- Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC): Automatically adjusts speed to maintain a preset distance from the vehicle ahead. This feature was only available on diesel models with air brakes.
