- Revised braking: The traditional vacuum-boosted braking system was replaced with a new “E-boost” electronically assisted system.

- Noise and vibration: The cabin can be noisy at higher speeds, with wind, road, and engine noise and vibration entering the cabin.
- Recall for child seat anchors: General Motors recalled certain 2020–2023 Equinox models for a potential issue with the lower LATCH anchor bars, which could have excessive powder coating that prevents proper installation of a child seat.
