: Standard on the Sport trim and optional on the Premium Luxury trim. This engine provided 310 horsepower and 271 lb-ft of torque.
-
Drivetrain
: Front-wheel drive was standard on the Luxury and Premium Luxury trims, with an available twin-clutch all-wheel-drive system. AWD was standard on the Sport trim.
- Luxury (Base): This trim came equipped with standard features like an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, LED headlights, heated front seats, and a power liftgate.
-
Premium Luxury
: Stepping up to this trim added genuine leather seating, a panoramic sunroof, ambient interior lighting, and a hands-free power liftgate. It also received standard embedded navigation and a Bose 14-speaker sound system for the 2023 model year.
- Sport: The top-tier trim came standard with the powerful 3.6L V6 engine, an adaptive suspension, Brembo brakes, and 20-inch alloy wheels. It also featured unique exterior styling with high-gloss black trim.
- Newly standard features: Premium Luxury and Sport trims received embedded navigation and a Bose Performance Series 14-speaker sound system as standard equipment.
- New exterior colors: Three new paint colors were offered: Argent Silver Metallic, Opulent Blue Metallic, and Radiant Red Tintcoat.
- Standard spare tire: All trims received a compact spare tire as standard equipment, which replaced the previous tire inflator kit.
- Transmission half-shaft recall (March 2023): A recall was issued for some 2022–2023 XT5 models where an incorrect transmission sun gear could cause the half-shaft to disengage. This could result in a loss of drive power or vehicle rollaway when parked.
- Instrument panel illumination recall (June 2024): Some 2023–2025 XT5s were recalled due to a software error that could cause the instrument panel to fail to illuminate when the hazard, high beams, or turn signals were active.
- Infotainment system: While functional, the 8-inch CUE system was considered dated compared to newer, larger systems in competitors, and some owners still reported occasional glitches.
