Factory Manuals OEM Specialists
- 2.0-Liter Turbocharged Inline-4 (LTG): Generates 268 Horsepower and 295 lb-ft of Torque. Paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
- 3.6-Liter Naturally Aspirated V6 (LGX): Generates 335 Horsepower and 285 lb-ft of Torque. Features Active Fuel Management (cylinder deactivation) and a 10-speed automatic transmission.
- 3.6-Liter Twin-Turbo V6 (LF3 – V-Sport Only): Generates a massive 420 Horsepower and 430 lb-ft of Torque. Paired with a heavy-duty 8-speed automatic transmission.
- Drivetrain Choices: Standard Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) for traditional sports car dynamics, with optional All-Wheel Drive (AWD) available on the 2.0T and 3.6L models. (The V-Sport is strictly RWD).
- Standard (Base): Includes 17-inch wheels, Brembo front brakes, rear park assist, push-button start, and the 8-inch Cadillac user experience (CUE) infotainment system.
- Luxury: Adds leather seating, heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a power sunroof, and a suite of driver-assist technologies (Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring).
- Premium Luxury: Steps up with a 3.6L V6 engine option, Magnetic Ride Control adaptive suspension, a 360-degree Surround Vision camera, automatic parking assist, and 18-inch wheels.
- V-Sport: The entry-point to serious track capability. Includes the 420-hp twin-turbo V6, an electronic limited-slip differential (eLSD), heavy-duty cooling systems, track-tuned Magnetic Ride Control, and high-performance Pirelli summer tires.
- V-Sport Premium Luxury: Combines all of the track hardware of the V-Sport with the top-tier luxury amenities of the Premium Luxury trim, including a full-color Head-Up Display and 110V power outlets.
- CUE Touchscreen Responsiveness: While the 2019 model features an updated version of the CUE infotainment system that is vastly superior to earlier iterations, some owners still report touch sensing failures or “ghost touching” where the screen acts as if it is being tapped repeatedly. The permanent fix requires replacing the screen digitizer module.
- 2.0T Piston Ring Land Failure: On models equipped with the 2.0L Turbo engine, using low-octane gasoline or neglecting spark plug intervals can lead to low-speed pre-ignition (LSPI). In severe cases, this has been known to crack piston ring lands, causing low compression, excessive oil consumption, and engine misfires. Always use premium unleaded fuel in the 2.0T and V-Sport.
- Rear Differential Leaks: A common issue across Alpha-platform cars involves the axle seals or pinion seals on the rear differential developing small fluid leaks over time. If left unnoticed, the differential can run low on fluid and begin whining or suffer mechanical failure.
- Cue System Delamination: Visually check the lower motorized climate control panel. Some units can suffer from internal adhesive separation (delamination) causing a spiderweb or foggy appearance behind the plastic.
