- Drivetrain: Standard front-wheel drive (FWD) was available on all trims, with optional all-wheel drive (AWD).
- Fuel economy: EPA-estimated 24 mpg city / 31 mpg highway for FWD models.
- Ride quality: The ride was generally comfortable, though some reviewers noted it could feel a bit firm or choppy on rough pavement with larger wheels.
- Braking system: Some owners and reviewers criticized the brake-pedal feel, attributing it to the electronic-assist brake-by-wire system.
- Interior materials: While upscale for the price, some critics and owners noted the presence of hard plastics, especially on lower trims.
- Recalls: The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) issued a recall in 2021 for an air bag malfunction indicator light that may not activate properly. A later recall in 2022 was issued for the daytime running lights (DRLs) on certain 2021–2023 models that may not deactivate when the headlights are on.
- Electrical system: Some owners experienced issues with their infotainment system, memory seating, or other electronics.
- Cargo capacity: Due to the redesign, cargo space behind the second row was slightly less than in the previous generation.
