Engine: The 2022 Silverado medium-duty lineup is equipped with a Duramax 6.6L Turbo-Diesel V8 engine.

: Maximum GVWR ranges from 14,001 to 16,500 pounds.
Silverado 5500 HD

: Maximum GVWR ranges from 17,500 to 19,500 pounds.
Silverado 6500 HD

: Maximum GVWR ranges from 21,500 to 23,500 pounds.

Frame: It features a single-piece frame rail that offers strength and durability for various upfits.
Auxiliary switches: Up to 13 auxiliary switches are available for connecting aftermarket electrical accessories.
PTO access: The Power Takeoff (PTO) system has dual-side access, allowing upfitters to draw power from either side of the transmission.
Convenient utility access: The battery box is located under the cab for easy access, and a diesel exhaust fluid fill is placed on the fender.
